There are times when we feel like our relationship has grown stale. To others, it’s a sign that you’re going steady. However, this can really mean you are slowly losing interest in each other.

The human heart is undeniably fickle, and some people just can’t avoid falling out of love. Try as they might to rekindle the relationship, they just can’t force themselves to feel the same way again.

Do you feel like your partner is at risk of losing interest in you as well? If so, you might want to keep a lookout for these signs:

1. Your funny habits become annoying to them

At the beginning of your relationship, you found each other’s flaws endearing. As a result, you both turned your clumsy episodes into inside jokes.

But now, the things your partner used to find funny don’t spark the same excitement anymore. They no longer go along with your attempts to humor them. They barely react whenever you try to make them smile.

No matter how hard you try to lighten the mood, they always seem to be annoyed by your efforts.

2. They’re not trying as hard

Back then, you used to greet each other a good morning and pick them up at work after their shift. But nowadays, they no longer seem to put any effort into spending time with you.

It’s understandable if they’re occupied with work or if they simply had a bad day. They have responsibilities to upkeep as well. But if they slowly begin to underdeliver on their promises, then you have every right to suspect they’re no longer interested.

To keep a relationship going, you have to be consistent. There’s no point in pursuing a relationship if only one of you is putting in the effort to make it work.

3. You are no longer a priority

Is your partner uncooperative whenever you make plans? Are they quick to call it off whenever something else comes up? Do they not feel guilty afterwards and try to make it up to you?

If so, then you may have probably lost your spot as a top priority.

It’s fine if your partner delays your plans once or twice. They are sometimes left with no choice but to put you on the backburner. They have faith in you to understand them, especially if you’ve entered the relationship knowing full well they have other priorities.

Constantly bailing out on you, whoever, is a different story altogether.

4. They don’t try to reason with you

It’s normal to have a few arguments here and there with your partner. You both want to resolve your conflict. Hence, you try to correct things by talking it out, even when it gets out of control at times.

But if your partner would rather keep quiet than speak up, then they have lost the motivation to make things work.

It’s much better to have a partner that will risk arguing with you instead of staying indifferent and silent. At the very least, they are making an attempt to communicate.

All Out of Love

If you feel like your relationship is going in the opposite direction, then it’s best to sit down with your partner and talk. You can’t avoid the possibility of a breakup. It’s par for the course.

You can always give yourself another shot at love. There are over 7 billion people out there — you just have to choose them wisely.
