Filipinas are friendlier than other women but they are also a lot more conservative than some. How you flirt in America might not work with Filipinas. So make sure you take note of these tips:
Don’t let the thought of rejection freeze you
Pretty Filipinas tend to respond more positively to someone courting them, since it flatters them. At best, she accepts your affection and has feelings for you too and at worst, she rejects you and you two go your separate ways.
It’s not something you should be scared about. You two are merely strangers. If you don’t act, you lose her but if you do, you get a chance. Even if she rejects you, at least you tried. No one is going to make fun of you for being rejected. If you are a gentleman about it, then you will be fine.
Ask for her social media
It’s better than asking for her number outright. Social media doesn’t sound suspicious and it doesn’t give out a certain pressure compared to when you get the number.
These days lots of Filipinas have an online account so you will be okay asking for it. Unless you are asking a woman whose residence is in the mountains, you will have little to no problem with women giving you their profile.
“Do you have a card?” technique
Filipinas have a thing for men who are a little more on the classy side. This technique is also extremely low risk, making the girl think you are an executive or that you think she’s a model.
However, not all Pinays carry cards. The ones who do are into sales or are entrepreneurs. So if you plan to use this technique, be prepared to say “Just write your number down. I can wait.”
Pro Tip: Have a pen and paper handy. Don’t wait for her to rummage into her bag to find something. Hand her a piece of paper and your own pen and you will get an instant response.

Making her like you
So now that you’ve made yourself approach her, here’s what you do next to make her fall for you. Or at least impress her so much that she will consider you as dating potential too.
Speak Filipino
Filipinos find absolute delight hearing a foreigner speak their language. They find it not just amusing but also flattering that a foreign stranger would take the time and effort to learn and speak their tongue. So greet her or say some simple basic things to her. Try these:
“Kamusta?” — Hello/How are you?
“Ang ganda mo talaga.” — You’re so beautiful/pretty.
“Ganda ng ngiti mo.” — Your smile is so pretty.
Pinays also like it when a man calls them “Magandang binibini”. It roughly translates to Beautiful Miss.
And for bonus points and so you can get her to laugh, when something highly amusing or distressing happens, loudly sigh out “Hay naku!”. While it has no direct translation, it can be used as either “Oh my!” or “Oh well!”.
Pronunciation shouldn’t be a huge deal, as we use the same vowels as in Spanish.
Speak politely
Filipinos have words for politeness and respect that are not found in other languages. Po and Opo are terms that are unique to the Filipino language and vocabulary.
Also, even if they aren’t related, Filipinos address males older than them as Kuya or brother.
In Filipino culture, respect is highly valued. So be sure to remember that when you’re speaking to the girl you’re trying to court.
Be a gentleman
Pinays are hopeless romantics too. A lot of them dream of a big strong man who can sweep them off their feet. They want to be treated like a princess and be protected by their Prince Charming, even if they know how to fully take care of themselves.
So be nice. Be a decent man and be a gentleman. Do some gentlemanly things like opening the door for her, offering your coat when it’s cold or pulling up a chair. Those kinds of things can brighten up a girl’s day.
